Will I get “popped” and will it hurt?
We use mostly low force or no force techniques which do not produce a “pop”. Consequently, our techniques are very safe, comfortable and effective. We will explain each of our techniques so there are no surprises as we perform these techniques.

Are there side effects to the treatments?
Because we screen and examine all of our patients prior to recommending treatment, we only use the types of care that can be safely administered to you without the risk of negative side effects. Chiropractic is the safest health care profession as proven by our extremely low rates for malpractice insurance. Because we use a holistic approach to care, most people find they experience many side benefits. Patients find their health improving in many areas, not just in the area of their initial complaint.
Approximately 10% of our patients will experience some mild soreness after their initial adjustment. This is very similar to soreness after exercising for the first time. This occurs because chiropractic “turns on” muscles that have not been “on” for some time. Once these muscles get used to working again, the soreness quickly goes away. Icing the sore areas is very effective at relieving any initial soreness you may experience.

When will I stop hurting?
Everyone has a different pain threshold. But usually all patients rapidly begin to improve. As you would expect, the more severe and chronic your condition, the longer it takes to achieve long term relief of pain. As a general rule, most patients experience relief after just their first treatment.

Is it dangerous to “pop” my joints myself?
Yes, it is potentially very dangerous. You could create an acute injury or a long term chronic problem if you “pop” you own spine. Also, you will find that the more you “pop” your spine, the more you feel you need to “pop” your spine. This should be proof that you are just giving your body temporary relief, no different than taking an aspirin. Your underlying problem continues to exist and should be treated by a professional.

Can someone come with me to my visit?
Absolutely! You are welcome to bring anyone with you. They may go with you into the treatment room, or can stay in our waiting room. We encourage you bring a family member or friend that can help support you in your recovery process. Encouragement and support is very beneficial.

Can my children be treated?
